Former Ukrainian ambassador to Washington: I am on the Russian kill list

 The former Ukrainian ambassador to the United States, Valery Chali, commented on the ongoing war in his country, calling on the United States and other Western countries to "punish Russia" for its massive military operation.

Chali, who served as Ukraine's ambassador to the United States between 2015 and 2019, said that he is on the list to be killed by the Russians, and that "America and President Joe Biden have a historic opportunity to lead and defend the world."

He added in an interview with the US "Fox News" network: "We trust Biden. We want you, President, to be the leader of the world."news


Chali considered that "the best way to punish Russia is not to stifle its economy, but to confront Vladimir Putin's aggression with military force."





"The most effective sanctions against Russia are supplying Ukraine with defensive weapons, including advanced anti-missile and anti-aircraft equipment," the Ukrainian diplomat added.

Chali, who is currently chairman of the board of directors of the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center, said that Ukrainian soldiers "are ready to fight for weeks and months if necessary," as "we have no choice because if we lose our land, we will become slaves to the Russians."
